Chief, a juvenile green sea turtle was rescued off Cudjoe Key late January where he was found struggling at the surface with a heavy load of fibropapilloma tumors. Chief is back to good health and ready to return to his ocean home! Chief’s treatment at the Turtle Hospital included a whole blood transfusion, tumor removal surgeries, eye tumor removal with the veterinary ophthalmologist, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluids, vitamins and a healthy diet of greens and mixed seafood.
