JOIN us for a Public Sea Turtle Release Friday, June 16th at Sombrero Beach, Marathon! Bring your Family and friends! Tippy, a 100 pound sub adult loggerhead sea turtle was rescued off of Rock Harbor, Key Largo in March where he was found floating and unable to dive. Tippy was emaciated and treated at the Turtle Hospital for an intestinal impaction. Treatment included broad spectrum antibiotics, vitamins, lactulose and a healthy diet of squid and fish. Tippy has gained 15 pounds, is healthy and ready to return to the sea! Tippy will arrive in the turtle ambulance at 10:30 a.m., with release promptly at 11:00 a.m. See you there!
