Boaters, returning from some back country fishing found a juvenile Green Sea Turtle in Boca Chica Channel, Gulf side. The 40 pound turtle has fibropapilloma tumors on it’s eyes, mouth, neck and all flippers. The front right flipper is missing due to an old injury.
Rosie will have an endoscope procedure (to ensure there are no internal tumors) and surgery to remove the eye tumors. Additional surgeries will be required to remove the numerous external tumors.
