Johnny, (a sub adult Loggerhead Sea Turtle that was rehabilitated after a vicious machete attack) was given a celebrity send off today. The release was publicized beforehand and the public was invited to attend.
Well over a hundred people gathered to watch the release from Veterans Park at the West end of the Seven Mile Bridge.
Jack Hanna, host of “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventure” TV show, participated in the release along with his film crew.
After the release, Jack and his crew returned to The Turtle Hospital to shoot additional footage that will be used in his new program, “Into The Wild”.
