Aussie, a large Green Sea Turtle has made a stop at the Hospital this past spring for the treatment of an intestinal impaction. Aussie arrived at the Hospital on February 25, 2005. Aussie weighs 220 pounds and will reach 500 pounds when fully grown. Aussie was floating and unable to dive for food. She is now able to dive and rests completely at the bottom of her tank. Release is set for September 2005.
RELEASED: Aussie made her way back into the ocean on August 22, 2005 with the assistance of the Marathon Coast Guard.
