A small Green Sea Turtle was found along a rock wall near the Dive In dive center in Key Largo. The post hatchling turtle was completely covered with thick, black oil.
Using mayonnaise (which dissolves the oil without harming the turtle),
Exxon was carefully cleaned of all the contamination.
The eyes were not damaged by the oil so there is a good chance for recovery.
