Izzy, a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle will be returned to her ocean home on Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. Izzy was rescued the beginning of February off Tavernier in the upper Keys. Izzy was emaciated and suffering from a severe intestinal impaction. Izzy was treated at the Turtle Hospital with broad spectrum antibiotics, vitamins, iron, lactulose and a healthy diet of fish and squid. Izzy is fully recovered and ready to go home! Please join us to celebrate her return to the ocean on Saturday at Sombrero Beach, Marathon. The turtle ambulance will arrive at the beach at 10:30 a.m. with release promptly at 11:00 a.m. See you there!
