Seven new patients are settling in tonight. Sea Lion, Zebra, Vampire Bat, Eros, Uakari, Xerus, and Walrus are juvenile FP greens that washed up near Clearwater Beach.
Due to a very high amount of strandings in Clearwater, these seven turtles were transferred to our hospital from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to complete their treatment. We are seeing lots of fishing line entanglement/ingestions, as well as anemia, low blood sugar, emaciation, and cold body temperatures.
