Status Report
- 07/20/2026 Timmy is a loggerhead female sea turtle, estimated to be 70-80 years old and weighted an incredible 270 pounds! She was spotted by recreational boaters after they noticed her swimming erratically. They stayed with her until U.S. Coast Guard arrived to assist with the rescue, giving Timmy a chance to receive the care she desperately needed. She’s now undergoing a full diagnostic workup at the Turtle Hospital. We’ll be running a complete blood chemistry evaluation once her samples are processed by the university lab, which will help us better understand what she is facing. Right now, we’re still searching for answers.
- 07/21/2026 A little Timmy update! she has been a lot calmer today and settling into her shallow pool after receiving fluids and vitamins. We’re still waiting on her blood culture results for more answers.
- 7/30/2026 Big news for Timmy! after everything this sweet girl has been through, she’s making some amazing progress! This week, Timmy will be taken of her medications and moving into our tidal pool – huge step to getting stronger and closer to her next chapter.
