  • 7/22/2025 – Meet Bruce! a juvenile green sea turtle at The Turtle Hospital. He came in entangles in fishing line and covered in fibropapilloma (FP) tumors. When brought to the surgery room Dr. Terry Norton carefully removed the fishing line and then proceeded to treat the wound. We also fund out Bruce has ingested fishing line! He’ll receive mineral oil in hopes it will help him pass the line. Our rehabilitation staff also worked to improve blood flow and reduce swelling in his flipper. After treatments he was brought to a rehabilitation tank where he can rest and continue to receive treatment and physical therapy on his flipper, and once he is in a stable condition he will get his FP tumors removed.
