Bring your family and friends to help cheer for 2 juvenile green sea turtles returning to their ocean home! Tulip, a beautiful green sea turtle rescued in April was found entangled in fishing line with fibropapillomatosis in Biscayne Bay, Tulip’s treatment at the Turtle Hospital included a disentanglement, tumor removal surgeries, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluid treatments, vitamins, and a healthy diet of greens and mixed sea food. Jessica, another juvenile green was rescued from the shallow waters in Big Pine Key in March, Jessica was treated for fibropapillomatosis. Her treatment included tumor removal surgeries, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluid treatment, vitamins, and a healthy diet of greens and mixed seafood. Both turtles are back to good health and ready to return to the sea! The marine turtles will arrive in the turtle ambulance at 11:40 a.m., with release promptly at 12:00 p.m. The gates at Cheeca Lodge will be open at 11:15 a.m. and closed after the release.
