Wednesday brought us our newest patient, Lannie May. Found floating in a canal in Marathon, Lannie May had a fish hook stuck in her neck and was dragging pvc pipe along with her. The residents called us and we were able to rescue her. They named her for the rescuer’s niece who has Cystic Fibrosis.
Dr. Kristin from Marathon Vet Hospital was able to come in and remove the hook. Luckily the hook did not cause too much damage, so we expect her to make a full recovery.
